Movement in Plants Plants are a type of living thing that can live by looking for nutrients from the soil. To be able to find these nutrients, plants have roots as plant organs that can penetrate the soil.

This movement occurs due to several factors, some of which are from the plant itself or from the stimuli it receives. Movement in plants is divided into two, namely endonom movement and ethionom movement. This movement is described below.

Endonomic Movement

Endonomic motion is the motion of plants that is not influenced by factors. The meaning of endonomic motion is motion that comes from the plant itself without other factors. This movement has two kinds, namely:

1. Nutrient movement is a spontaneous movement that has nothing to do with stimuli from outside the plant body. An example of this nutrient movement is the movement of cytoplasmic flow in aquatic plants, namely Hydrilla verticullata.
2. Hygroscopic motion is a plant movement with changes in water content. An example of this hygoscopic movement is the cracking of the skin of dry legumes.

Etionom movement

Ethinomic movements are plant movements that come from outside. The stimulus in question is in the form of physical, chemical and mechanical stimuli. There are many factors of etymology, including light, gravity, touch and others. Etion movement is divided into 3 parts, namely: Tropism Movement, Nasti Movement, and Tactical Movement.
