How to write poetry?

Making poetry is actually not difficult because poetry is one form of expression of the author. The author is free to express what he thinks and feels and puts it in the form of poetry. It's just that the poetry that is made is interesting and creates a certain impression for anyone who reads or writes hear it, an author must be able to string words well and use creative imagination maybe.

Thus it can be said that poetry is a work that was born from the creativity of the author. As a creative process, making poetry must go through various stages. Ekoati (2010) in Citraningrum (2016) states that the stages of making poetry include the preparation stage, incubation stage, illumination stage, and stage. verification. The preparation stage is the stage where the author seeks ideas as a source of writing. After the idea is obtained, the idea is then deposited for further reflection and preparation. This stage is called the incubation stage. The next stage, namely the illumination stage, is the stage where the author translates all these ideas into written form. And finally, the verification stage is the stage where the author evaluates the poetry he has made.

From the brief review above, how to make the right poetry is as follows.

1. Looking for ideas

Before writing a poem, the author must have an idea first. There are many ideas that can be used as a source of poetry. For example, ideas that come from personal experience or other people. In addition to experience, ideas can also come from events or events that give rise to a certain impression, the author's own imagination, feelings, surroundings, pets, people, and so on etc. This idea search process can be done by means of deep reflection on various kinds of activities or activities activity such as reading, observing and so on.

2. Precipitating ideas

After the idea is obtained, the next step is to deposit the idea or incubate it for further processing. This idea deposition process is carried out by processing various types of information or material that has been obtained and compiled into written form. At this stage, the author should have and master various kinds of vocabulary and style language. This is so that the author can freely choose the right words and style language according to the theme of the poem.

3. Pouring ideas

The next step is to pour the ideas that have been deposited into writing or illumination. Here, the author must be able to assemble the words and style of language that have been chosen and make it happen in written form. At this stage, the author is free to write poetry according to his own wishes. In the sense that it does not have to be fixated on the number of stanzas or the number of lines in the stanza. Because, in the current era, poetry writing is no longer based on the old poetry writing rules which include rhythm, sound or rhyme equations, line grouping, choosing the right words, the number of lines in each stanza and a lot tribe word on each line. Now poetry can be written in prose, paragraphs, or other forms.

4. Rating

After the poem is written according to the author's wishes, the next step is for the author to re-examine the writing he has made. This is very important if there are words that are not appropriate in the poem. This examination can be done by friends or those who are experts and aims to determine whether the poem is worth publishing or not.

A Donkey Enters the Kingdom of Heaven
By: Mario F. Tail feather

The fragrance of his mane is like the tongue of a river that throws a spear into the heart of the air. A woman followed him. He had just passed a long, old and tiring Sabbath. The underside of the city walls split open leaving a gaping hole the size of a pinhole. He recalled the iota of the Greeks before daring to dream about the resurrection, the way to heaven, the fountain of living water, the dove and the flame fire. The woman touched it with her hand that smelled of wheat flour.

What do you ask of me, madam? The scent of the mausoleum still clings to my last load. Over my back he talks a lot about the eye of the needle and the revolution, about the Romans and the Jews, about the sorrows of the hen and the tears of her father falling a second time. Towards me he was struggling even though the only light that came to me.

At the wall he turned. Scenes from the past are replayed: Children waving fresh grass to the peak of their hunger, mothers lowering jars to the ground. Water gushed from the footprints. If he looked down, would he see his reflection reflected? A woman no longer walks, no longer bows her head. He floated and his feet didn't touch the puddle.

I have carried the yoke attached, you are happy to plunge me into for example. On my back lay tools made of from broad reds and purples that were dropped from above. Seventy-seven holes wouldn't be enough to plunge because my eyes are adept at discerning tricks, distinguishing the nervous movements of the shy bride from those of skilled lovers behind the veil.

He waved his mane for the dissidents, which were getting smaller and smaller from between his front paws. Will you write my story? Also for women who never stop praying for him. I'll drag the faller in front of you, madam, so that you can easily conquer him.

Rat poison
By: Felix K. Nesi

Can you one day
Come to the last square
Close reservoir made by the village head

Om Gabriel dan
Usi Ta'neo
Of course it spreads poison there

Make you a rice rodent
And the jungle hero
And the pig forgot to come home
The one who betrayed his master

This is a sedative
From the tip of the sandalwood root
Papaya first shoot pertama
Palm tree bark
Forest bee house
And cast Insana's royal spell

So that you are not agile you run
So that you can't breathe

“Just a grain of rice, my lord
For five eyes
And a pregnant wife

But we have many children
The eldest wants to be a priest
The youngest hasn't crawled yet

But you don't reply to the song
In people with clubs
So run away, sir
Run as fast as you can

Pond Ghost
By: Mashuri

: plunge!

On the edge of the pool
Like soldiers running from war
I look like a ramble

My eyes are swimming
With the fish, my forehead is trapped
Coral on the bottom half black
and dark
There is no splash that raises vibrations
Chest, where are the traces of the same wound
In the old field

Everything is cold, like the seasons torn apart
Sun
I buried myself under a pile
Moon
Everything is tethered to silence
Maybe …

"plunge!"

I've heard that voice
But too ancient to be remembered as a stone
The one that fell
Because now the pool is not rippling
I only see my own face, scattered
