Definition Conjunction

1. Correlative

Correlative conjunctions are used to connect two word, phrases, clauses, which have equivalent conjunction status. Conjunctions that are included in correlative conjunctions are as follows:

• Not only … but (also) …

2. Subordinating

In contrast to correlative conjunctions, subordinating conjunctions connect two words, phrases, clauses, which have the status of a graded conjunction. Subordinating conjunctions include:
