Previously, we have seen what an example of a novel that is briefly presented looks like. This time, we will also know an example of a novel briefly. The example of the novel is the same as the one shown in the previous article, namely the novel "Para Priyayi" (especially in the chapter "Lantip") by Umar Kayam. However, in this article, an example of the novel will be presented much shorter and also accompanied by a synopsis of the novel. Without further ado, here are examples of novels and their synopsis in language Indonesia.

Synopsis*:

Starting from a family of farm laborers, Soedarsono, his parents and relatives are expected to be the “beginners” to build a dynasty of small priyayi families. Thanks to the encouragement of the assistant wedana Master Seteng, he can go to school and then become a teacher village. From here he entered the world of the bureaucratic elite as a priyayi pangreh praja. His three children, through Dutch and Japanese times, grew up as teachers, Peta officers, and wives of assistant wedanas. His family's dream came true.

Is it true? Then what exactly is "priyayi"? Class status? The world view of the bureaucratic elite middle class? just style life? Or all of them? Soedarsono's own grandchildren later lived as children era them: being the child of middle-class spoiled bureaucrats, leftist idealists involved in the Gestapu, and who knows what else. It was Lantip – the bastard son of Soedarsono's distant nephew – who appeared as the heroes. It was he who, in his own way, showed the meaning of "priyayi" and "priyayian".
