Today is the day of taking the midterm report card, with a half-drool state I walked with my father to get the report card. On the way, dad asked “how are you feeling? Do you think your grades are good?” I just smiled in response to Dad's question, because I felt that my grades were all good. When we arrived at school, we sat next to each other in my classroom. Dad looks like he's praying, I don't know what he's praying for.

When my name was called, my father came forward to meet my homeroom teacher and I remained in my original sitting position. For a moment, I saw my father shedding tears, he looked sad, but he was not angry with me. After returning from there, Dad was silent, and I tried to open the conversation. "Father, why are you sad?" With a trembling voice my father answered my question “I am disappointed, don't you know, I worked so hard to get money to send you to school. However, today, I saw a red mark in Indonesian lessons on your report card.” I was just silent and felt pain in my heart, why did I make Dad sad? Why didn't I realize that Dad had gone to great lengths to send me to school?

Since that day, I was determined to study harder and try to like Indonesian lessons. Although it is not easy, but I feel it is my return for my parents sacrifice to send me to school.
