By: Chairil Anwar
In this development period
Lord come back to life
And the embers of admiration become fire
In front of you sir waiting
Undaunted. Fight as many as a hundred times.
Sword on the right, dagger on the left
With a spirit that cannot die.
UP
This is a hammerless line barisan
Trust sign invades.
Once means
Already it's dead.
UP
Country for you
Provide fire.
Extinct above the slave
Perish above be afflicted.
Even in the new death is reached
If new life can feel.

Example 2:
Krawang-Bekasi*
By: Chairil Anwar
We who want to lie between Kawan-Bekasi
can't shout "Merdeka" and take up arms again.
But who no longer hears our roar,
imagine us going forward and catching our hearts?
We talk to you in silence in the lonely night
If the deer's chest is empty and the clock is ticking
We die young. What remains is covered with dust.
Remember, remember us.
We've tried what we can
But the work isn't finished yet, can't count 4-5 thousand
life
We are just scattered bones
But it's yours
You're the one who decides the value of scattered bones
Or we float for the independence of victory and
hope
or nothing for nothing,
We don't know, we can no longer say
You're the one saying now
We talk to you in silence in the lonely night
If there is a feeling of emptiness and a ticking wall clock
Keang, remember us
Carry on, carry on our souls
Keeping Bung Karno
take care of Bung Hatta
take care of Bung Sjahrir
We are now corpses
Give us meaning
Stay on the line between statements and dreams
Keang, remember us
what remains are the bones covered in dust
Thousands of us lay between Krawang-Bekasi

Example 3:
A Bloodstained Jacket*
By: Taufiq Ismail
A jacket covered in blood
We've all been staring at you
The great sorrow has gone
In the pain of many years.
A river limits us
Under the hot Jakarta sun
Between freedom and oppression
Armored and armored
Shall we back off now
While saying 'Goodbye struggle'
Give every tyranny
And wearing a maid's garb?
That shabby banner, yes that banner
We've all been staring at you
And on top of the buildings
Bowing the flag at half mast
Message it has gone everywhere
Through passing vehicles
Pedicab brothers, port porters
Shouts on the city bus, mighty marches
Procession of the corpse to the cemetery
They said
Everyone said
Continue the Struggle.
