Conventional farming methods are widely applied in developing countries compared to developed countries. The agricultural concept applied to conventional agriculture is generally the concept of non-organic agriculture, which is an agricultural concept which rely more on the use of chemicals such as pesticides to maintain and chemical fertilizers to accelerate growth plant. The use of chemicals in conventional agriculture has an impact on the durability of crop yields that do not last long or are short term. As a result, countries that adopt conventional farming systems tend to be more dependent on imports due to the limited availability of agricultural products.
This is certainly very different from modern farming methods. Many developed countries have implemented agricultural methods modern. The agricultural tools used are also much more modern than conventional farming methods such as the use of robots, sensors temperature and humidity, or technology GPS. The agricultural concept applied to modern agriculture is organic agriculture, which is an agricultural system that relies on the use of ingredient-natural or organic materials and strictly prohibits the use of chemicals in agricultural processes. The use of natural or organic materials makes the resilience of agricultural products more long-term and the stability and sustainability of agriculture can be maintained.
