In its use, it is sometimes found that simple sentence patterns have objects and descriptions in their elements. A simple sentence only requires a subject and a predicate in its formation. These two elements must be present in a simple sentence. Because if one of these elements is not found it will be an incomplete sentence. Subject and predicate elements in simple sentences can be in the form of a word, phrase, or clause.

Therefore, a sentence is said to be a simple sentence because its formation is still basic and simple. This simple sentence is a single sentence, although a single sentence is not necessarily a simple sentence. This relates to the expansion of each element of the sentence itself. A simple sentence cannot have an expansion in its elements. In contrast to a single sentence that can still be subject to expansion in its elements.
