Sample Text of Observation Report on Animals in Indonesian

Komodo*

Komodo is one of the ancient animals that live in thickets and in forest areas on a number of islands in Indonesia. Komodo is known as the heaviest reptile in the world. Komodo dragons weigh 100 kg or more. The largest Komodo dragon ever measured was over 3 meters long and weighed 166 kg, but the average size of a Komodo dragon that lives in the wild is about 2.5 meters and weighs 91 kg.

Komodo dragons have gray scaly skin, a pointed snout, strong limbs, and a muscular tail. Komodo uses a sharp sense of smell to detect the presence of animal carcasses located several kilometers in the distance. Komodo hunts other reptiles, such as large mammals, sometimes even acting as cannibals.

Almost all parts of the Komodo dragon's teeth are covered by gums. When the Komodo dragon is eating, its gums bleed and become

media ideal for the growth of harmful bacteria. Bacteria that live in the saliva of dragons cause the blood of the bitten victim to be poisoned. The Komodo dragon will bite its prey animal and then follow it until the animal is weak and powerless to be carried away.

This species of reptile is threatened with extinction. This fact, among other things, is caused by irresponsible hunting activities, the limited number of animals that become their prey, and the damaged habitat.
