The group continued to cross the damaged highway to Kampung Liur to meet face-to-face with the local community. Traveling with rough terrain does not discourage you from meeting fellow local brothers and sisters. The group arrived around 16.00 WITA.

At that time, the sun began to give signs of setting. Arriving at the old traditional house in Kampung Liur, the group was greeted with a local traditional ritual, “kepok.”

After the traditional ritual is complete, the host serves bitter coffee to the group. Drinking coffee is a local tradition. If guests want to drink sweet coffee, then the host will provide it in a separate glass. However, tradition Residents throughout East Manggarai are serving bitter coffee to guests and visiting families.

At sunset, I left the house and headed to a mosque to capture the sunset from behind the mosque. Finally the desire to see the sunset from the Fatahilla Mosque came true.
