One of types of sentences is an active sentence. This sentence is a sentence in which the subject acts as the actor. This sentence itself is also classified as one of the types of sentences based on the subject. Active sentences can be changed into other sentences, namely passive sentences.

This sentence change is done by exchanging the roles of the subject and object. The subject which was originally at the beginning of the sentence and acted as the perpetrator, was then moved to the middle of the sentence (more precisely after the predicate) and changed its role as the victim. This sentence change is also marked by changing the affix in the predicate of the active sentence which was originally affixed me-, me-i, me-i, and the like, changed to di-, di-i, di-i, and its kind.

In addition, the change in active to passive sentences is also marked by the word by which is placed after the predicate of the passive sentence. Use of the word by it is optional, in the sense that it may or may not be used.
