Joko Kendil*

Once upon a time, there lived an old woman with her son. His son was ugly and also short. So do not be surprised, if the child is often called Joko Kendil by the people around him. Kendil itself is a pot used to cook rice. The similarity of the child's body shape with the kendillah that made the child named Joko Kendil by the people.

Even though her child's body is not perfect, the woman still loves her child. In fact, all the requests of the child is always obeyed by him. One day, the child asked the woman to marry a princess. Hearing this, the woman was beyond shocked. He then said:

"Remember who you are, Joko. And remember what your body looks like."

"Everything's fine, ma'am. Anyway, I ask my mother for help to apply for a princess," answered Joko Kendil.

With a feeling of worry, the woman obeyed Joko Kendil's wishes.

Long story short, he also had to face a king. This king had three children. Incidentally, her three children are beautiful princesses. Hesitantly, the woman spoke to the king what she meant. He wanted one of the king's daughters to be married to his son, Joko Kendil.

Hearing this, the king was not angry at all. Instead he revealed the woman's intentions to her three daughters. Of the three daughters, only the youngest daughter was willing to accept the proposal. The two of them did not accept the proposal, because they knew who Joko Kendil really was.

The wedding of [the youngest daughter and Joko Kendil was held. After marriage, insults always appear to the youngest daughter of the king, especially from his two brothers. Of course it made him sad.

Brief story, the king held a dexterity competition. Initially, Joko Kendil wanted to take part in the competition. However, this was not done because his health condition did not allow it. The competition itself was followed by dashing commanders. The prince was admired by all the women present at the time, including the two sisters of the youngest princess.

The two youngest daughters then mocked their sister. The sadness of the youngest daughter was unbearable. Sad and upset, he kicked a jar in front of him. Hearing the sound of a broken jar, suddenly the prince approached the youngest princess.

At first the youngest princess was surprised to be approached by the prince. After the prince told him that he was Joko Kendil, the youngest princess finally melted her heart. Apparently, all this time Joko Kendil was hit by a curse that made his figure ugly.

In the end, the couple lived happily ever after.
