What is the exemplum text? The exemplum text is the text of a story which tells about a person's behavior. Usually it starts with an introduction to the character, then a discussion about the events that the character did, and ends with an interpretation from within the character. - Orientation
When I entered the 4th semester of college, I asked my parents for permission to stay in a boarding house. The reason I boarded was because of the many campus activities that required me to come home late at night. While the distance from home to campus is very far. For that, I chose a boarding house that was located close to campus. In the boarding house, I share the same room with my friend, Doni. Even though we have different majors, we are very close.
- Incident
This incident occurred on the first Sunday in the boarding room. That night, I woke up and saw a figure floating next to the mirror. Surprisingly the shadow was headless. Of course the incident scared me. I tried to scream, but my throat was so choked that my mouth couldn't make a sound. I spontaneously pulled the blanket to cover my body
from toe to head. The next day I told Doni the incident. Turns out, Doni had already experienced this incident.- Interpretation
Doni advised me to be more diligent in worshiping so that I would not be afraid of such things. They should be the ones who are afraid of us, because our degree as humans is higher than them. I'm contemplating word-said Doni said.
