Teacher Competence in the World of Education (Full Discussion) - Education is something that must be owned by everyone. Everyone must get the same education. Below is how teacher competence in the world of education is distinguished.

National education based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia functions to develop abilities and shape character as well as dignified national civilization in the context of educating the nation's life, aiming to develop the potential of students to become good human beings believe in and fear God Almighty, have a noble character, be healthy, knowledgeable, capable, creative, independent, and be a democratic and responsible citizen answer.

To carry out this function, the government organizes a national education system as stated in Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System.

Teacher Competence in the World of Education (Full Discussion)

National education must be able to ensure equal distribution of educational opportunities, quality improvement and the relevance and efficiency of education management. Equal educational opportunities are realized in the 9-year compulsory education program.

Improving the quality of education is directed at improving the quality of Indonesian people as a whole through exercise the heart, exercise the mind, exercise the feeling and exercise in order to have competitiveness in facing global challenges.

Increasing the relevance of education is intended to produce graduates who are in accordance with the demands of the needs based on the potential of Indonesia's natural resources. Increasing the efficiency of education management is carried out through the implementation of school-based management and renewal of education management in a planned, directed and sustainable manner.

Teacher Competency Implementation

This is implemented in Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System. into a number of regulations including Government Regulation Number 19 of 2005 concerning National Standards Education. This Government Regulation provides direction regarding the need to develop and implement eight national education standards, namely: content standards, process standards, and standards graduate competencies, standards for educators and education staff, standards for facilities and infrastructure, management standards, financing standards, and education assessment standards.

This document discusses content standards as referred to in Government Regulation Number 19 of 2005, which as a whole include:

The basic framework and structure of the curriculum which is a guideline in the preparation of curriculum at the level of educational units.
Learning load for students in primary and secondary education units.
The education unit level curriculum that will be developed by the education unit is based on the curriculum development guidelines as an integral part of the content standards.
Educational calendar for the implementation of education in primary and secondary education units.

This is also in Government Regulation number 74 of 2008 regarding who and how the attitude of the teacher states;

"Teachers are professional educators with the main task of educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training, assessing, and evaluating students early childhood education through formal education, basic education, and secondary education, a teacher must also have an Academic Qualification or diploma the level of academic education that must be possessed by a teacher according to the type, level, and unit of formal education in which he carries out his duties teachers are also required to have Academic Qualifications, competencies, Educator Certificates, physically and mentally healthy, and have the ability to realize goals National Education"

Types of Teacher Competency

Teacher competencies referred to above include pedagogic competencies, personal competencies, social competencies, and professional competencies obtained through professional education. The following will explain each competency that must be possessed by the teacher as follows:

Pedagogic Competence

As referred to is the teacher's ability to manage student learning which at least includes:

Understanding insight or educational foundation
Understanding of students
Curriculum or syllabus development
Learning design
Implementation of educational and dialogic learning
Utilization of learning technology
Evaluation of learning outcomes
Development of students to actualize the various potentials they have.

Personal competence

As intended at least include the personality that must be possessed as follows:

Have faith and fear
Be noble
wise and prudent
Democratic
Excellent
Authoritative
Stable
Mature
Honest
Sportive
Be a role model for students and society;
Objectively evaluate own performance and self-development independently and sustainably.

Social Competence

As intended is the ability of the teacher as part of society which at least includes competence for the following purposes:

Communicate verbally, in writing, and or gestures politely;
Use communication and information technology functionally;
Associating effectively with students, fellow educators, educational staff, heads of educational units, parents or guardians of students;
Mingle politely with the surrounding community by heeding the prevailing norms and value systems; And
Applying the principle of true brotherhood and the spirit of togetherness
