Traditional Drama
- Wayang dramas such as wayang golek, shadow puppets, wayang orang, etc.
- Folk dramas such as ketoprak and randai
- The speech drama that is spoken and not acted out is like the dalang jemblung and kentrung
- Aristocrat dramas influenced by Western theatrical concepts and also supported by the influence of Malay & Middle Eastern traditions, for example: comedy and aristocratic stambuls.

- Dramatic texts can be prose or poetry.
- Drama consists of diaphragms composed by the author with embodied characters.

- Conflict is an important element in drama. The characters in the plot are a source of conflict, and the plot is an important element in the script.

Dramatic Elements
In a drama there are two elements, namely intrinsic elements and extrinsic elements.
Intrinsic element
- The theme is the main idea or main idea in a drama story.
- The plot is the storyline of the drama show starting from the first round to the last round.
- Drama characters consist of main characters and supporting characters. The main character is called the prima donna, while the supporting characters are called extras.
- Character is the behavior that can be played by drama characters. These characters are divided into two types, namely good characters (protagonists) and bad characters (antagonists).
- Setting is a description of the place, time, and situation in the ongoing drama story.

Dramatic Structure
- Chapter or Episode
Chapters or episodes are part of a drama script in the form of a summary of a story or story that occurs somewhere in a certain time sequence.
- Scene
The scene is the part of the play that shows the changing events or story that the characters in the play are acting out.
One scene shows changes or transitions in an episode which are marked by changes in characters, places, and times in an episode.
- Dialog

- Prologue

- Epilogue
