Nasal Cavity (Cavum Nasalis)
Inhaling respiratory air through the nasal cavity is the right action because in the nasal cavity there are many hairs that function as air filters.
Windpipe (Trachea)
The windpipe is not the same as the esophagus. Even though these two terms refer to bodily organs located in the neck, they both have different functions. At the end of the windpipe, there is a part called the pharynx or epiglottis.
This tool is a dividing valve between the respiratory tract or trachea and the food pipe or esophagus. The windpipe is always open so that the breathing process can be carried out at any time.
Base of Throat
The neck of adult men will show a bulge called the Adam's apple. Actually, Adam's apple is not only owned by men, but women also have it. The Adam's apple in women is not as prominent as in men. The Adam's apple is composed of the base of the throat, a cartilage shield, and cartilage rings. Inside the Adam's apple are the vocal cords which always vibrate when we make a sound.
Lungs (Pulmo)
The lungs are the center of the respiratory process in humans. In the lungs, gas exchange occurs between O gas2 from outside with CO2 gas and H gas2O (water vapor) comes from the blood as a remainder of the biological oxidation process.
The lungs are located in the chest cavity and consist of two parts, namely the right lung and the left lung. The right lung has three globules or three lobes, while the left lung only has two globules. Lung function can be seen in the previous discussion.

The respiratory mechanism in humans consists of:
Chest Breathing
In chest breathing, breathing movements are carried out by the rib cage. This bone moves because the muscles between the ribs contract or contract so that the ribs are lifted upwards and the chest cavity becomes larger.
The air pressure inside the body is smaller compared to the pressure outside the body, ultimately air from outside enters the lungs through the nose. If the muscles between the ribs relax, the ribs return to their original position The chest cavity becomes small, the air pressure is large and causes the air in the lungs to be pushed out through the lungs nose.
Abdominal Breathing
In abdominal breathing, breathing movements are carried out by the body cavity partition, this body cavity partition is called diaphragm. When the diaphragm relaxes, it curves upwards.
This causes the chest cavity to become narrower and the air in the lungs is forced out through the nose. The moment you take a breath is called time inspiration, while when you exhale it is called expiration.
