Female Reproductive Organs1 and Their Functions – Living things that live on earth have the ability to reproduce to be able to continue to maintain their species. Every day, even every time, new creatures are born into the world. Each type of living thing has its own means of reproduction.
Almost every living thing has its own reproductive organs1 which function as a means to reproduce and have offspring. To be able to have offspring, living things must pair up to be able to reproduce, although there are some that don't need a partner in marriage.
Female Reproductive Organs1 and Their Functions
Living things have 2 sexes, namely male and female. Reproductive organs1 of each type differ between men and women as well as humans. Between men and women have their own reproductive organs which are of course different. To be able to understand about the female reproductive organs, it will be discussed further below.
Reproductive Equipment 1 Women
The reproductive organs of women are indeed different from those of men because it is in these reproductive organs that a human child is formed and can finally be born into this world. For women's reproductive organs themselves are very complicated compared to men. Generally speaking, the female reproductive organs are divided into 2 parts, namely the external reproductive organs and the external reproductive organs. Here's the explanation:
Internal Female Reproductive Organs1
The female reproductive organs are located inside the woman's body. There are several organs in it, namely:
1. Vag1na
The vagina is located between the bladder and rectum with a folded texture on the walls. Meanwhile, the vagina is a muscle membrane or membranous muscle that connects the uterus to the outside of the body. This vagina has a length of about 8-10 cm. The vaginal part has a mucous membrane on the outside, there is an arrangement of muscles in the middle and fibrous connective tissue on the inside.
Function from the vagina is the birth canal for babies, a place for sexual intercourse with the opposite sex and as a place for blood and mucus to flow during menstruation. The vaginal muscles originate from the levitor ani and the anal sphincter, namely the anal or rectal muscles, so they can be controlled through special exercises that are often performed.
2. Uterus (Womb)
Function uterus or uterus is a place for growth and development of the fetus to become a baby. The muscles in the uterus or womb are very elastic so that they can continue to expand as a place for the development of a fetus in the womb for 9 months (pregnant).
Inside the uterus there is the endometrium or uterine wall which functions as a uterine barrier and consists of epithelial cells. This layer can thicken (ovulation) and shed (menstruation). In the uterus there are the following parts:
- The Uteri Corpus is the part that has a triangular shape and is located at the top.
- The uterine cervix is a cylindrical shape.
- The fundus uteri is the part of the body that is located at the base of the fallopian tubes.
The uterus will push when giving birth because the uterus is the place where the baby comes out and prevents bleeding that occurs due to childbirth. And after completion of labor, the uterus will return to its original shape within 6 weeks.
3. Fallopian tube
The fallopian tube or oviduct is the organ that carries the uterus or womb into the ovary or ovary. The oviduct or fallopian tube is in the shape of an oviduct because its shape is similar to the tube that leads the egg into the uterus. The length of the fallopian tubes is about 8-20 cm with a total of 2 pieces.
Function fallopian tube or oviduct is the channel for spermatozoa to enter the ovum, where the results of fertilization grow which will enter the uterus or womb, as an ovum catcher, and become a place of fertilization or fertilization. The fallopian tube consists of:
The infundibulum is the funnel-like portion that rests at the base and has fimbriae. Function of the fimbriae is to capture the ovum. the parts are as follows:
1. The pars ampularis is where the ovum and sperm meet (fertilization).
2. The pars ismika is the part of the tube that is narrow in the middle.
3. The pars interstitial is the part of the tube that is closest to the uterus.
4. Ovary (Ovary)
The ovaries or ovaries are the female reproductive glands. Function From the ovary is a producer of egg cells or ova and as the main sex hormone producer. The ovaries are located on the right and left in relation to the uterus. Ovary shape is oval and has a length of about 2.5 – 4cm. There are about 300,000 ovum in the ovaries of women who have experienced puberty. Most of these ovum fail during maturation, are damaged and die so that a healthy egg or ovum ranges from 300-400 eggs. At about 28 days one ovum or egg will be released alternately when it is not fertilized, the menstrual process will occur. And when all the ovum or egg cells run out, there will be a monopause process.
External Female Reproductive Organs1
After we discuss the internal female reproductive organs, we will discuss the external female reproductive organs. The reproductive organs are as follows:
1. Mons Vaneris
Mons vaneris is the part that protrudes outside the genitals. Function of the mons vaneris is to cover or protect the pubic bone (pubic symphysis). Mons veneris or what is often called Mount Venus has hair that will cover the pubic area and is in an inverted triangle pattern. This section is composed of fatty tissue and connective tissue.
2. Labia Mayora
Labia majora or pubic lips are shaped like lips. Function The labia majora are a continuation of the mons veneris which are tapering downwards and unite to form the perineum. The outermost parts of the labia majora are covered with pubic hair as adults and consist of adipose tissue and sweat glands. In this sweat membrane there is no hair but has sensitive nerves during sex.
3. Labia Minora
Labia minora or small pubic lips in the form of folds that form inside the labia majora. Not only that, Labia minora has no hair and there are many parts of the blood vessels so that it can increase sexual arousal. These lips surround the vaginal orifice (pubic hole).
4. clitoris
The clitoris is an organ that is very sensitive to stimulation during sexual intercourse. And the clitoris consists of many blood vessels and is located at the end of the nerves. Therefore it is very sensitive and erective.
5. Vestibule
The vestibule is the pubic cavity which is bounded by the labia minora on the left and on the right, at the top is limited by the clitoris, and the bottom is limited by the meeting of the two labia minora. Function of the vestibule is the place where the urethra or urinary tract opens and the vagina or hole for intercourse.
6. Hymen
Hymen or blood membrane is a thin membrane-shaped membrane that covers the opening in the vagina. Function The main function of the hymen is to evaluate a woman's virginity. The hymen is easily torn in a circular shape, therefore it will tear the first time you have sexual intercourse and bleed.
