History of Hinduism in Indonesia (Full Discussion) - Hinduism is one of the recognized religions in Indonesia, the majority of Hindus in Indonesia are from the Bali region but in other areas there are also many who embrace Hinduism. Hinduism is history for Indonesia.
Hinduism was born because of a background that has been recorded in the history of Hinduism, which is what we often know that Hinduism has various kinds of castes in its society, and has various kinds of gods that they worship worship. But according to R. Antoine is very difficult to define Hinduism, because Hinduism is not a religion that only has a single creed where everyone does not have to obey it.

Hinduism is more inclined as a federation of various approaches to the reality that is behind a life. But in Indonesia itself, Hinduism has been recognized by the government that Hinduism is one of the religions approved by the government.
History of Hindu Religion
Hinduism was actually born and grew and developed from the traditions taught by the Vedas. Where adherents of the teachings of the Vedas come from the Aryan nation. Around 1500 BC the Aryans began to enter Indian territory, it is estimated that the Aryans entered India through the Kaiber gap in waves.
At first, the Aryans inhabited the Indus Valley and pushed the Dravidians, where we have to remember that the Dravidians had their center in Mohenjo Daro and Harappa. Because the Dravidians were pressured by the Aryans, the civilizations of Mohenjo Daro and Harappa also declined. And then the Aryans spread in various regions, including the Ganges Valley and also the Yamuna. In the spread of the Aryan people there were those who married the Dravidians and then formed a society with a new generation.
Where the community with a new generation is called the Hindu nation. The traditions and beliefs held by the Hindu people are then referred to as Hindu religion and culture. Despite the changes from the Aryans and Dravidians to the Hindu era, the teachings they adhere to still use the Vedas that were previously used by the Aryans.
Hinduism is a religion that worships and adores and believes in the gods. The most important god is called the Trimurti, the trimurti itself is a unity of three gods. To make it clearer, let's discuss it below.
Trimurti (Unity of the Three Gods)
1. Lord Brahma (As Creator)
2. Lord Vishnu (As Preserver God)
3. Lord Shiva (As the God of Smelter)
In the practice of worship these gods are embodied in a form of statues. Where the statue is a very important element for Hinduism. The source of the teachings of Hinduism is the Veda which is the holy book of Hinduism. The Veda itself consists of four parts.
The Four Sections of the Vedas
1. Rigveda which contains praise to the gods
2. Samaweda which contains sacred songs
3. Yayurveda which contains incantations
4. Atharwaweda which contains prayers as a treatment
What we often know is that the life of Hindu society is divided into classes and castes which in general Hindu society is divided into four castes namely.

1. Brahmin caste consisting of priests
2. The Knights caste consists of kings and their families, nobles and soldiers
3. The Vaisya caste consists of businessmen, traders and farmers
4. The Sudra caste consists of servants, manual laborers, and commoners
