Movement In Plants – Plants are a type of living creature that can live by seeking nutrients from the soil. To be able to look for these nutrients, plants have roots as plant organs that can penetrate into the soil.
Movement In Plants
We can see the plants standing still and not doing anything. But without us knowing it, plants can move naturally and from other factors. Plant movements can be divided into two.
We can observe plant movements by noting the movements that occur or by frequently controlling them or seeing them so we understand the difference. Plant movements are distinguished into endonomic motion and ethionic motion. This movement will be explained as follows.
Movement In Plants
This movement occurs due to several factors, some of which are from the plant itself or from the stimuli it receives. Movement in plants is divided into two, namely endonomic movements and ethionic movements. These movements will be described below.
Endonomic Movement
Endonomic motion is non-factor influencing plant movement. Which means endonomic motion is the motion that comes from the plant itself without other factors. This movement has two kinds viz
- Nutrient movement is a spontaneous movement that has nothing to do with stimuli from outside the plant body. An example of this movement of nutrients is the movement of the flow of cytoplasm in an aquatic plant, namely hydrilla verticullate.
- Hygroscopic motion is a plant movement with changes in water content. An example of this hygoscopic movement is the breaking of the skin of legumes which are already dry.
Etionom Movement
Etinom movement is plant movement that comes from outside. The stimulus in question is in the form of physical, chemical and mechanical stimulation. There are many factors of etomimic motion, including light, gravity, touch and others. The etion movement is divided into 3 parts, namely: Tropic Movement, Nasti movement, And Tactical Movement.
