√ 8 Organs of the Male Reproductive Organs and Their Functions
8 Male Reproductive Organs and Their Functions Humans are living things that reproduce by giving birth. Humans live in pairs in order to establish relationships and get offspring. In order to have offspring, every human being must pair up and carry out the process of reproduction.
Human gender is divided into 2, namely men and women. Humans must coexist to be able to continue life. Because they reproduce by giving birth, humans cannot reproduce alone, they must be in pairs, and the partners must be of different sexes. Humans cannot reproduce if they are not in pairs or in pairs but of the same sex.
8 Male Reproductive Organs and Their Functions
Humans have reproductive organs that can later be used to reproduce. The male and female reproductive organs are very different. Therefore here will be discussed about the male reproductive organs which will be explained as follows:
Male Reproductive Equipment
The reproductive organs are very important, therefore to be able to get to know these reproductive organs better, they will be explained as follows:
1. Testicles
The testicles are the human genitalia which are located in the scrotum and are a pair. The shape of the testes is oval. Function The testicles are the producer of male sex cells (spermatozoa) and have the sex hormone testosterone.
The location of the testicles is in the scrotum which is a berugae organ (has folds of skin) and functions to maintain the temperature of the testes so that spermatogenesis can continue. The scrotum may wrinkle or loosen away from the body according to body temperature.
Sperm grow in the testes and form in the seminiferous bodies. Inside there are threads of the seminiferous bodies which are in the testicular space and are called the testicular lobules.
2. Epididymis
The epididymis is an organ in the form of a tortuous tube that is inside the scrotum and on the outside of the testicles. The shape of the epididymis is similar to the C shape. Function Epididymis is a tool for transporting, storing, and maturation of sperm.
Sperm before entering the epididymis do not have the ability to move, but after entering the in the epididymis and carry out its function, the sperm can move and dawn even though it hasn't perfect.
3. Vas deferens
The vas deferens is a tubular duct that continues after the epididymis. Function of the vas deferens is channeling sperm into the seminal vesicles and as a reservoir for sperm.
In the process of storage and maturation of sperm, the ductus deferens will encourage sperm to move peristaltically into the seminal vesicles. Sperm will come out quickly and spurt when the asst ejaculate.
4. Gonad
Function from the male sex gland is to produce fluid as a place for sperm to swim and keep sperm alive by neutralizing acid. This liquid is called semen or in Latin is semen.
In 1 ml of semen there are sperm cells ranging from 60 -100 million with a milky white to yellowish color and thick texture. This gland is divided into 3 parts, among others:
Seminal Vesicles or Semen Sacs are organs in the form of a pair of tube channels on the right and left of the body. The seminal vesicles are 5-10 cm long. The fluid contained in the seminal vesicles comprises 60% of the total volume of semen.
The seminal vesicles merge with the vas deferens and the prostate gland to form the ejaculatory ducts.Function of the seminal vesicles is to secrete alkaline fluid (pH 7.3 mucus, vitamins, fructose (which is used as nutrition for sperm), enzymes, proteins and prostaglandins.
The prostate gland is an organ that is located below the bladder. Function of the prostate gland is to be able to secrete a grayish white liquid which is alkaline.
The fluid is then secreted into the ejaculatory ducts and contributes about 30% of the total volume of semen. The fluid that comes from the prostate gland unites with the fluid of the seminal vesicles and forms a place for sperm to live and move. This fluid is secreted by organs whose parts consist of phospholipids, citric acid (which is useful as a nutrient) and anticoagulants.
Bulbourethral (Cowpery) glands, which are a pair of glands. Function from the bulbourethral gland (cowpery) is a producer of alkaline mucus in the ejaculatory ducts. The location of this gland is under the prostate gland. The fluid that has been produced from the bulbourethral glands comes out before the start of ejaculation.
5. Ejaculatory Duct
The ejaculatory ducts are a pair. Function From this ejaculatory duct is for a short channel that connects the seminal vesicle duct with the urethra.
6. urethra
The urethra is a tube that is located inside the penis. Function The urethra is a place for sperm to come out and a place for urine to come out.
7. Penis
The penis is the external genitalia found in men. Function from the penis is to enter the sperm into the female reproductive organs through the meeting of the two. The penis is an organ composed of muscles that can be stretched and the penis is covered by a thin layer of skin.
In the process of tensing the penis is called an erection, this happens because there is a stimulus that can fill the blood vessels in the penis. After circumcision, the thin skin (prepuce) that lines the glans penis will be cut.
Function from the penis is to ejaculate, namely by removing sperm through the urethra (the channel contained in the penis), during ejaculation the muscles contained in the bladder then shrinks, that is to prevent sperm from entering the bladder, therefore we cannot urinate while ejaculation. The penis itself consists of several parts which include the following.
- Giant Penis, which is the head if it has been circumcised and is no longer covered with skin.
- The shaft (corpus) of the penis, which is the shaft of the penis
- The base of the penis, namely the base of the penis
8. Scrotum (Track Sac)
The scrotum is a sac that contains the testicles. Between the right and left sacs is bounded by a partition composed of connective tissue and polis tissue (dartos muscle). The dartos muscle causes the scrotum to relax and wrinkle.
Thus the explanation regarding 8 Male Reproductive Organs and Their Functions, which has aroundknowledge.co.id give. After understanding this reproductive organ, it is hoped that we can continue to maintain personal hygiene so that the organs in our body can maintain their health. Hopefully useful 🙂
