Definition of Organic Waste
Waste is the residual material obtained from the production process or the remains of activities on a household, industrial, mining scale and so on. The characteristics or characteristics of the waste include:

According to its nature, waste is divided into two types, namely organic waste (waste that decomposes quickly) and inorganic waste (waste that is difficult to decompose).

This organic waste can also be easily decomposed by natural processes. This waste has stable chemical properties so that these substances will settle into the soil, riverbeds, lakes and seas and will then affect the organisms that live in them.
Organic waste is also easily decomposed, for example in organic waste, including food scraps, leaves, tree branches, human and animal feces, paper, tree bark, bones of living things and etc.
Organic waste can experience weathering (decomposition) and break down into smaller, odorless materials or what is often called compost.
Compost is the product of weathering of organic materials such as leaves, straw, reeds, trash, grass and other similar materials whose weathering process is facilitated by human assistance.
Special market waste, for example vegetable markets, fruit markets, or fish markets have different types of waste relatively the same and uniform, some mostly or 95% in the form of organic waste makes it easier overcome.
In general, there are many types of waste originating from settlements, but in general at least 75% consists of organic waste and the rest is inorganic waste.
Types of Processable Organic Waste
Organic waste is divided into two types or types, namely:
Wet Organic Waste
Wet organic waste is waste in which there is a very high water content. Examples of wet organic waste that can be used as handicrafts include corn husks, onion skins, fruit peels, seeds, leaves, straw and others.
Management of wet organic waste can be done by drying with the help of sunlight until the water content is exhausted. Then the dry waste can be used as various handicraft products.
Dry Organic Waste
Dry organic waste is waste that has a fairly low water content. Examples of dry waste include paper, cardboard, shells, coconut shells, fish scales, wood, egg shells, sawdust and so on. Dry organic waste can be recycled into several types of crafts.
Principles of Organic Waste Treatment
In the processing of organic waste there are several principles that are used so that the waste can later be utilized not to produce new waste that can damage the environment, but this waste will be utilized later. The following are the principles of organic waste processing, including:
Reduce
Is an attempt to minimize the goods or materials used, in this case the more materials used, the more waste is produced.
Reuse

Recycle
