Definition of Worship
Worship in language is submission or humility. Whereas in terms or syara', worship is an obedience that is carried out and carried out according to His commands, humble oneself to Allah SWT with a very high love and includes everything that Allah pleases either in the form of words or words or deeds that are dhahir or inner. The worship is divided into three, namely worship of the heart, worship of the tongue and worship of the limbs or deeds.
Worship of the heart (qalbiah) among others: having fear, love (mahabbah), hope (raja'), happy (raghbah), sincerity, resignation.
Oral & heart worship (lisaniyah wa qalbiyah) Among others: dhikr, tasbih, tahlil, tahmid, takbir, thanksgiving, praying, reading verses of the Qur'an.
Worship of physical and heart deeds (badaniyah wa qalbiyah) Among others: prayer, zakat, pilgrimage, jihad, fasting.
There are many other examples of types of worship. In knowing whether the worship performed is pleasing or loved by Allah, we can find out through His commands that have been stated in the holy book Al-Qur'an and Hadith of the Prophet, all actions carried out because of worship contain good for people other. The conditions for worship properly are sincere and ittiba' in accordance with the teachings and guidance of the Prophet Muhammad.
So it is clear that worship is a word that includes everything that is loved by Allah SWT and pleases Him, be it words or deeds, matters of the outer or inner heart.
