Definition of Yoga
In language (Etymology) the word yoga comes from the ancient Sanskrit language namely "Yuj" which means union or self-union. Yoga has three different meanings namely Absorption (Samadhi (yujyate), Connecting (Yunakti) and control (Yojyanti).
The definition of yoga is a science that explains the relationship between the physical, mental and spiritual of humans to achieve a holistic health system formed from ancient Indian culture.
Yoga was originally introduced by an Indian legend who lived in 200 – 500 BC named Patanjali in the Book of Yoga Sutras.
Yoga is the union of the spiritual soul with the universal soul or limitation of the ever-moving mind or a deep systematic system carry out spiritual exercises to achieve inner peace and carry out physical exercises to achieve physical and spiritual health, making it called Jiwan Mukti.
The Purpose of Yoga

Types of Yoga
Giri (2006) states, according to Hindu religious literature, yoga is categorized into several kinds or types, including the following:
Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga is a type of yoga with a training system using various techniques to form postures (asanas) followed by techniques breathing (pranayama) to achieve balance between the two different forces in the body, such as the upper body and the lower body lower body, left body and right body, inhale and exhale, positive energy and negative energy and so on etc.
Bhakti Yoga
