Parts of the Human Body and Their Explanations (Complete)
The bones are interrelated, connected and arranged in an orderly manner to form a skeleton. In this discussion, we will discuss what are the parts of the human body skeleton.
Newborns have more than 300 pieces of bone, but mostly cartilage. But as it grows into adulthood, the number of bones decreases and the bones get harder because of the fusion of bones. The number of mature bones is 206 bones.
Parts of the Human Body Skeleton
The human skeleton consists of the head, body and limbs.
Skeleton Head (skull)
The bones that make up the skeleton of the head include: the bones of the forehead, bones of the nose, upper jaw, lower jaw and cheekbones. The head frame at the front forms the basis of the human face. The bones that make up the face are the bones of the forehead, nose, upper jaw, lower jaw and cheekbones. While on the back of the head frame in the form of a skull.
Body Frame
The body frame is composed starting from the neck bone to the coccyx. The cervical spine is formed by 7 vertebrae. The neck bone is continuous with the backbone and coccyx. From the backbone to the coccyx, it is formed by 26 vertebrae.
So, the number of vertebrae from the neck to the coccyx is 33. In front, the ribs attach to the sternum. The sternum and ribs form the chest cavity. The shoulder frame (shoulder) is above the chest cavity. The shoulders are formed by the shoulder blades and collarbones. As for the lower body, there is a hip frame formed by the pubic bones and hip bones.
Body Members
It consists of the upper and lower limbs. The upper limbs are called the hands (arms), while the lower limbs are also called the feet. The skeleton of the arm is formed by the bones of the upper arm, ulna, lever, wrist, palm and fingers.
Meanwhile, the skeleton of the foot is formed by the femur, kneecap, shin, calf, ankle, sole and toes. The largest human bone is the femur.
The framework of the human body can be moved because of the cooperation between bone, joints and muscle. For frame function can be seen in the previous article.
