Definition of Review
The review comes from the Latin ie reviders or review which means to weigh, look back or evaluate. In KBBI it is stated that a reviewer is a review of a book. So the review is a brief review of the contents of a book, magazine, novel, drama or film which is usually broadcast via social media. The act of reviewing is giving an assessment, discussing, criticizing or re-expressing the contents in it.
Review Purpose
The objectives of the book review include the following:
- To provide a comprehensive understanding & information to the public or readers about the contents of the book being reviewed.
- Invite readers to discuss and think further about the issues raised in the book.
- To give consideration to the reader about whether or not the book is appropriate to read or publish.

Create a review title
The title of the review is made as attractive as possible and can really animate the whole point of the writing. And the title can also be made after the reviewer is finished. The title of the reviewer must be aligned with the content of the reviewer.
Compile book data
Methods for compiling book data include: book title, author's name (everyone involved in writing the book being reviewed), book publisher, year of publication, number of printings, and book thickness.
Make an opening
Starting with an introduction (what is the name of the author, his works, and his achievements); compare with the same book, whether it has been written by the author himself or by other authors; describes the figure of the author; review a little about the uniqueness of the book; formulate the theme of the book; gives the impression of a book; introduce the publisher; ask questions and open dialogue or discussion.
