Lowland is a large expanse of land with a relatively low elevation level from sea level (up to 200 m asl). This term is applied to any area with a large, relatively flat expanse as opposed to a plateau. As one of the various forms of the earth's surface, lowlands are also known as alluvial plains.

Semarang Lowlands
