Definition of Decision Making
Decision making is a result or output of a mental or cognitive process that leads to the choice of a course of action between several available options.
Another definition of decision making or Decision Making is a thought process in recovering from several alternatives or the possibility that best fits individual values or goals to get results or solutions about future predictions.
Definition of Decision Making According to Experts
The following is a definition of decision making according to experts.
1. Suharnan (2005)
The definition of decision making according to Suharnan is the process of choosing or determining various possibilities among uncertain situations.
2. Baron and Byrne (2008)
The definition of decision making according to Baron and Byrne is a process through a combination of individuals or groups and integrate the available information with the goal of selecting one from a range of possibilities action.
3. Simon (1993)
The definition of decision-making according to Simon is a form of selection from various alternative actions may be selected, whose process goes through a certain mechanism in the hope that it will result in a decision that is best.
4. Terry (2003)

Rational
Rational decisions related to usability. The problems encountered require rational solutions. Decisions made on the basis of rational considerations are more objective.
Decision Making Style
Decision-making style is how a person interprets, responds and also the way a person reacts to the situation they face. According to Kuzgun, there are four styles of decision making, including:
Rational (Rational)
This decision-making style is characterized by a systematic and planned strategy with a clear future orientation.
Intuitive (Intuition)
This decision-making style is characterized by dependence on inner experiences, fantasies, and a tendency to make decisions quickly without much deliberation or gathering information.
Dependent
This decision-making style rejects responsibility for their choices and involves responsibility to others. In other words, this style tends to depend on the decisions of other people they perceive as authority figures such as parents, family and friends.
Indecisiveness
This decision-making style tends to avoid situations of decision-making or responsibility for others.

Syamsi stated that there were several factors that influenced decision making, including:

- Extreme conditions
- Personality and decision-making skills
