Understanding Earth's Rotation
Earth's rotation is the process by which the earth rotates on its axis. When the earth rotates, the earth also makes rotational motion by rotating on its axis. The direction of rotation is the same as the direction of revolution, that is, from west to east.
With movement on its axis or axis, every area on earth experiences day and night, even though the length of day and night can vary. The period of Earth's rotation on its axis with respect to the stars is 23 hours, 56 minutes, and 4.091 seconds. The period of rotation in relation to the Sun is 24 hours. But the rotation is getting slower due to the influence of the moon's gravity.

Earth flattening
The theory of the occurrence of the earth suggests that the earth was formed from a gas that gets harder and harder because of cooling. Due to rotation, every part of the earth's surface obtains centrifugal force (a force directed away from the axis of rotation).
At the equator the force is strong and at the poles it is zero. Due to the influence of the centrifugal force, when the earth was still soft at the equator it swelled and the two poles became flattened quickly. Because the earth is flattened at the poles, gravity is stronger at the poles than at the equator.
