Definition of VGA Card
VGA (Video Graphics Arrays) is an analog computer display standard first marketed by IBM in 1987 (Wikipedia).
Another definition of a VGA card is a graphics card whose function is to process graphics data for display on a computer monitor screen.
VGA is a standard in graphics followed by the majority of manufacturers of computer graphics cards. Like the Windows display, which until now still uses VGA mode because it is supported by many monitor and graphics card manufacturers.

VGA EISA
EISA VGA is a type of VGA card that is installed in the EISA (Estended Industry Standard Architecture) bus expansion slot with a 32-bit I/O system. As in the previous generation, namely VGA ISA, the EISA VGA card is currently not used again, because of the limited speed, the resulting image smoothness and color combinations too limited. VGA AGP
VGA AGP is a type of VGA card that is installed in an AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) bus expansion slot whose I/O system is 128-bit or 256-bit. Initially this VGA card was made to significantly increase data transfer to memory from the CPU to a "display or display" device. based on the voltage value used, namely AGP 1x and AGP 2x with a voltage value of 3.3 volts, AGP 4x and AGP 8x with a voltage value of 1.5 volts, and AGP Universal. VGA PCIe

VGA card form
According to the shape, the VGA card is divided into 2 forms, namely the VGA card on board and the VGA card add-on. Onboard VGA cards can be found on all mainboards/motherboards on computers or laptops that have one package installed.
The onboard VGA type can be used to display output on the screen very well. But if you want to do high-level graphics processing, we need a VGA Card Add-on card if the onboard VGA card feels that the results are not optimal. For designers, gamers with high specifications or 3D, film editors really need this VGA Card Add-on.
Therefore, VGA Card Add-on installation according to user needs. But this device can only be added to personal computers, for laptops there is no slot for adding a VGA card. And also this VGA Card add-on requires high electrical power and can only be fulfilled when using a PC.
Advantages And Disadvantages Of VGA Cards
For Onboard VGA Card has the advantage of being one with the computer's mainboard/motherboard. So you can be sure there are no problems with the computer when used. This type of VGA can be said to be free, because every time you buy a motherboard, this onboard VGA card is automatically installed. Of course it will save costs.
The disadvantage of the onboard VGA card is that it does not have its own memory, as a result, the CPU or laptop's main memory cuts in RAM to be used by VGA. If RAM is small or limited, PC/laptop performance will slow down overall.
For VGA Card Add-on has the advantage of being able to do work that requires high-level graphics or heavy rendering and also doesn't take up main memory or RAM on the CPU. Ongoing processes using the VGA Card add-on will not burden the processor and the computer will still work quickly.
And the weakness of the add-on VGA card is the high price, it can even be more expensive than a set of motherboards/mainboards plus the processor and RAM. Another drawback is that it requires a large amount of electricity. For that requires a large capacity power supply
