Monologue is a term taken from two words namely mono and log and each has its own meaning. Mono means one while log comes from the word log which means knowledge. Literally, monologue is an applied science that teaches acting where only one person or silent dialogue is needed in carrying out a scene or sketch.
Monologue is a conversation that is only carried out by one person or a single character which is carried out by himself. The conversation can be carried out by a character with himself, such as through or talking to himself in a heart that sounds.
According to the Big Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI), monologue is a conversation that is only done with oneself.
In a drama, a monologue is a conversation that is only carried out alone in a play. Thus, only one person is needed to speak and only he can determine the rest of the subject. This conversation is also called communication that is carried out by one person, or in short, talking alone.

If drama is not communicative, the author's intention, the development of emotional responses will not be achieved. Next, the existence of Nebentext is also an important thing in building unity in a drama, because it is through Nebentext that the setting of time, place, and atmosphere of the drama can be known.
Monologue History
In the 60s monologues were introduced for the first time. At that time, television still did not know what dubbing or dubbing meant, and that is why monologues were widely used in making comedy or horror films.
Charlie Chaplin is one of the initiators in the introduction of monologues and is quite phenomenal. In 1964 the monologue was first introduced, so that it developed into an artistic medium, more precisely in theatrical art. Since then, monologue is one of the learning theories in a theatrical work.

My school environment
A student who was pensive on a bench in front of the school while looking at the school environment and he also talked to himself.
My story will never be picked up in the newspapers, my face is not many people who know. My struggle so far has only been limited to RT 01 which is where I live.
The democracy I feel in this small place is so beautiful. All citizens here interpret and practice a democracy without any coercion from anywhere.
If there are people who are anti-democracy in this small, beautiful area, with the turmoil of the spirit of peace, the residents will ask me to solve it. Yes, they respect and appreciate me as the leader of their democratic output.
If I can, I can mobilize them if someone disturbs democracy. But what do you do? Democracy that is here has been running so beautifully. Everyone defends democracy in unison with their own conscience.
If only all regions in this beloved country implement democracy like where I live. Oh, how beautiful it is to live in Indonesia.
My dear mother
This feeling is always there for you Mom, all my love and sincerity to you. In everything that will never seem simple to me, but you are always sincere and think that everything is as simple as you see it.
The rosy twilight that is at the far west is always ours, to be able to fulfill it in a night full of harmony. Isn't that right, ma'am? That's how you are to me, you are the twilight that only exists in me.
Which is always my happiness. Dawn, which is at the east end, will always be ours, right, Mother? To publish the sun's rays after the darkness of the night shrouded in the mist of peace.
That's what you always tell me, that there is always hope in all aspects of life. You are the one who brings out the light when my world is pitch black.
At dawn you always give warmth, like a warm cup of coffee in the morning, you remember that, right? We always enjoy being together with laughter, sipping the coffee to the last drop. Why is that, Mother?
Why is it all so beautiful when I'm with you? You know Mother, that I prefer to sit beside you and tell you everything, whatever it is. For me, this is something that is more calming than listening to my favorite musical instrument.
I've suspected it for a long time, that you are not an ordinary woman. Look at me now mom, I am the one who is always by your side every day, even to this moment I still admire you. What words will I use to express all my admiration for you? One thousand? One million? That's not enough.
Mother, your child really wants to be the best person in your life. Mother, this child of yours really wants to be someone you are always proud of. Mother, your son really wants to be beside you forever.
I Love Mother.
Whose fault is this?
In the early morning before sunrise, I always arrive at school quickly. But when he arrived in front of the class, it turned out that the class lock was still tightly locked on the door. Finally I sat in the gazebo which is located right in front of the class.
I looked around me, it was also the same. I found that many students came early to study and had to act like a guard dog in front of the class. So there you have it, a lot of them just sit around daydreaming.
In my heart I was afraid that the class would still be locked, but whatever happened, I arrived late. Uh, upon arrival it was estimated that it had not sounded yet but still had to be stopped by the gate guard and told to turn right. God, if something like this happens, whose fault will it be?
So, every morning I have to help wash the mukenah, pray dhuha, and also recite the Koran. The goal is that those who are late will have their eyes opened.
And the next day, I came early in the morning smiling while carrying detergent in my hand. The goal is to prevent students from arriving late so they don't have to bother looking for detergent. Lately I've been leaving early in the morning so that the detergent I always carry is useful for others.
Thus the review from About the knowledge.co.id about monologue, Hope it is useful.
