Persuasive action is one of the actions in the form of social control which is carried out by means of persuade and direct individuals or society to comply with the values and norms that have been established apply. This can be done by way of socialization and also the direction.
Here are some examples of persuasive actions, including:
- Appeal and directives from the government so that people can be aware of keeping the environment clean through the media of television, the Internet and banners.
- A dentist who gives advice and advice to his patients to be diligent in cleaning their teeth and avoiding foods that can damage teeth.

From the two we can see that the purpose of social control is to create peace in society and create a harmonious life in society.
