A person's reading ability is generally an average of 175-300 words per minute (wpm), although a person's reading speed can be increased in the following way.
- Read the text silently
- Concentrate only on the text we are reading
- Do not move the lips that pronounce the word we read
- Cannot use fingers or other objects to point word for word
- Don't move your head left or right
- Do not repeat words or sentences that have been read
- Don't spell out the letters of the words you read (even in your heart or mind)
