Definition of Information and Communication Technology
ICT or Information and Communication Technology or what is often abbreviated as ICT is a big umbrella regarding the terminology in which there are all the technical equipment to be able to process and convey something information. Information and Communication Technology, which is abbreviated as ICT, originates from English, namely Information and Communication Technologies or what is known as ITC.
Technology comes from Greece, namely technology or kechne which is a skill and logic which is knowledge. Means that technology is something related to objects that can be used to facilitate human activities such as tools, hardware, and others.
ICT Aspect
ICT has two aspects, namely:
Information Technology
Is a technology that is related to the process, use of tools, manipulate, and in the management of information.
Communication Technology
Is a technology related to the use of assistive devices in sending and processing data originating from one device to another.
Method of Submission of Information
Information can be conveyed in 3 ways, including:
natural
Submission of natural or Human is the delivery of information de; using human hands. For example, in ancient times they used pictures or scratches on the walls and rocks of the cave.
Mechanical
Mechanical delivery is the delivery of information that is carried out by de; bro, use equipment with a mechanical form that is moved by humans.
Electronic
Electronic delivery is the delivery of information using electronic equipment.
