According to Wikipedia Computer Worm / computer worm is a computer program that can reproduce itself in a computer system. Computer worms can reproduce themselves by utilizing LAN/WAN/Internet networks without interference from the user or the computer user himself. By updating the service pack of the operating system it will automatically cover security holes that have the potential to be entered by computer worms. This method is the most effective way to overcome or prevent the entry of computer worms.
Another way if the computer is infected with a worm is by scanning the computer with the latest and most updated antivirus. Many types of antivirus can eradicate computer worms such as AVG, Avira, Kaspersky, Symantec, Avast and others.
